The Young Composer Competition is being run as part of The Ebor Singers Festival, 11-17 August, including services and concerts being held in York Minster.

Short-listed sacred competition entries will be heard as the Introit in Evensong in the Minster at 5.15pm on Monday-Saturday. 

Music by two of the competition judges will also be heard.  On Tuesday 12 August evening, Kerry Andrew's Dusk Songs will be performed at a candlelit service in the Minster.  At Eucharist on Friday 15 August evening, a mass written by Kerry for The Ebor Singers will be premiered.  The first performance of Philip Moore's Pilgrimage, another choir commission, will be heard on Saturday 16 August evening.
