Dr Paul Gameson began singing professionally at an early age as a chorister at St George's Chapel, Windsor. More recently, as a tenor, he has sung with Yorkshire Baroque Soloists, Corona Coloniensis, Red Byrd, and in the choirs of Hereford Cathedral and York Minster.
He studied at the University of York and the Université François Rabelais in Tours, France. He has recently completed a PhD exploring sacred music of seventeenth-century France though his musical interests stretch from the Renaissance to the present day.
As a specialist in seventeenth-century French music, he has given lectures and master-classes, and his editions have been used by The Ebor Singers, the Gabrieli Consort and Corona Coloniensis. |
